JAIIB Last-Week Revision — What to Read in the Final 7 Days
Jaiib last week revision plan — this guide gives you the latest 2026 information, key dates, eligibility, fees and study tips for the JAIIB exam.
You're seven days from the JAIIB exam. The four chapter PDFs sit on your laptop, ten timed mocks lie un-attempted on iibf.store, and your study plan is now officially impossible. The question every working banker asks at this stage — "what should I actually read in these final seven days?" — is a real strategic decision. Not a procrastination trick.
The honest answer: the last 7 days are NOT for learning new material. They're for ruthlessly consolidating what you already half-know. This article is a working banker's day-by-day blueprint for the final week — what to read. What to skip, what to drill, and how to walk into the exam hall calm.
Mindset first — what the last 7 days are NOT for
Three things you absolutely should NOT do in the final 7 days:
- Don't start a new chapter you haven't read before. The retention payoff is near zero with 7 days to go. Stick with material you've at least read once.
- Don't compare yourself to anyone else. Your branch colleague who's "almost done revising" may be lying — and even if they're not, comparison destroys your own pace.
- Don't binge-revise on the final day. The night before the exam should be light, sleep-prioritised, mock-result-skim only.
Day-by-day blueprint
Day −7 (one week before exam): Inventory. List every chapter across all four papers (IE&IFS, AFM, PPB, RBWM). Tick the ones you've read with comprehension.
Star the ones you've drilled with at least one mock test. Identify the unticked, unstarred chapters — these are your weak spots. Pick the ones with the highest mark weight (Module B of IE&IFS.
Module A and C of AFM, Module A and D of PPB, all of RBWM). Spend Day −7 reading these once with comprehension. Don't drill yet.
Day −6: Drill day for the weak chapters from Day −7. Attempt 2 chapter mocks per paper (8 total) on iibf.store's free mocks. Review every wrong answer in detail — debrief is the actual learning.
Day −5: Full-length practice paper for IE&IFS. 2 hours, no breaks, simulate exam conditions. Score yourself and debrief. Identify weak modules.
Day −4: Full-length practice paper for AFM. AFM is the speed paper — drill the 3-pass time tactic from our AFM numerical tricks article. Debrief.
Day −3: Full-length practice paper for PPB. Module A (Banking Regulations / KYC / AML) and Module D (Customer Service / Ombudsman) carry the most marks — make sure your accuracy is 70%+ on both.
Day −2: Full-length practice paper for RBWM. CASA / channels / wealth management. Review weak chapters from your debrief.
Day −1 (day before exam): Light revision only. Re-read the formula sheets, RBI rate values (use iibf.store's live rates page), KYC framework, Ombudsman parameters, MSME classification. NO new chapters. NO new mocks. Pack your exam-day bag: admit card, photo ID, calculator, watch, water bottle, light snack.
Exam day: Wake at your usual time. Light breakfast. Re-read the formula sheets in the cab/auto.
Don't discuss material with other candidates outside the exam hall. Enter the hall calm. Pass 1 / Pass 2 / Pass 3 strategy.
Lock in marks.
Build a personal formula sheet
The single highest-ROI activity in the last 7 days is to compile your own one-page formula sheet per paper. Why one-page? Because the act of writing it down forces selectivity — you'll only include the formulas you genuinely need.
For IE&IFS:
- Repo, CRR, SLR, MSF, SDF current values
- CPI inflation target (4% ± 2%)
- GDP measurement equation (Y = C + I + G + X − M)
- NNP from GDP (subtract depreciation, add net factor income)
- BoP current/capital account categories
For AFM:
- Current Ratio, Quick Ratio, Cash Ratio formulas
- GP %, NP %, ROA, ROE formulas
- DSCR formula
- Inventory / Debtor / Creditor turnover formulas
- Operating Cycle = Inventory days + Debtor days − Creditor days
- SLM depreciation formula
- Goodwill methods (Average Profit, Super Profit, Capitalisation)
For PPB:
- BR Act key sections: 5, 11, 17, 22, 35, 35A
- RBI Act Section 45ZB (MPC)
- KYC framework: CAP / CIP / CDD / Risk Mgmt
- PMLA reports: CTR threshold (₹10 lakh / month), STR within 7 days, CCR
- Ombudsman scheme: ₹20 lakh cap, 1-year filing window
- Charter of Customer Rights (5 rights)
For RBWM:
- Account types: SB / CA / FD / RD / BSBDA / NRO / NRE / FCNR
- CASA ratio formula
- Onboarding flow (KYC → CAP → account opening → welcome kit → first transaction)
- Channels: branch / ATM / NB / MB / BC / call centre / DSAs
Exam-day tactics — the 3-pass rule
You have 120 minutes for 100 questions. The 3-pass rule:
- Pass 1 (first 15 min): Quickly scan every question. Knock out the easy ones — definitions, identifications, single-line MCQs. Lock in 25-40 marks.
- Pass 2 (next 60 min): Medium-effort questions. Spend up to 90 seconds per question. Skip anything that needs more.
- Pass 3 (final 45 min): Hard questions. Long numericals, case-let interpretations. Try every one — JAIIB has NO negative marking, so a blind guess after eliminating 2 wrong options has +25% expected value.
The single biggest score-loss risk is spending too long on a single tough question. Set a 90-second internal alarm; if you're stuck, mark and move on. The 3-pass rhythm is the most consistent score-lifter across all four papers.

Final Word
The last 7 days before JAIIB are not for learning — they're for consolidating, drilling, and walking into the exam hall with calm confidence. Stick to chapters you've already read. Build a personal formula sheet per paper, run 1 full mock per paper, and use the 3-pass strategy on exam day.
Open a free JAIIB chapter mock tonight. Whatever your accuracy, the wrong-answer debrief tells you what to revise tomorrow. That's the engine of the last 7 days — read → drill → debrief → revise → repeat.
